• Before you begin to pack items up, be sure to make copies of vital documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a safe place.
• You will need to set up a forwarding address for your mail so that your mail go to your new place. You can do this on the USPS website.
• If you are moving into an apartment building, find out whether it is required to reserve an elevator and if there are any blackout days for moving.
