• Before starting to pack possessions up, make sure to create copies of vital documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a secure place.
• Start by packing rooms that you do not use that often and end the packing process with rooms like the bedroom and kitchen.
• While it is not necessary by law in some states, make sure to do an in-person walk-through with your landlord before moving out. This way you can address any issues on the spot.
