• If you aren't going to bring certain pieces of furniture with you then try to put them up for sale.
• Before starting to pack furniture up, make sure to create copies of important documents like birth certificates and tax returns and keep them in a secure place.
• It may sound obvious but be sure to return any items you borrowed before you start the move.
