• Before starting to pack possessions up, be sure to create copies of documents like birth certificates and tax returns and keep them in a safe place.
• You may feel inclined to just toss all of the food items in your house, but a number of items like olive oil and other ingredients can and should come with you.
• Well before you begin unpacking, be sure that you clean up the apartment a bit.
