Moving Tips

• Before beginning to pack belongings up, make sure to create copies of documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a secure place.
• If you are moving into an apartment building, find out whether it is required to reserve an elevator and whether there are any banned days for moving.
• While it is not necessary by law in some states, be sure to do an in person go-over with your landlord before moving out. This way you can address any issues on the spot.
