• Before beginning to pack furniture up, make sure to make copies of documents like birth certificates and tax returns and keep them in a safe place.
• While you might want to unpack everything in one day, be sure to start with fragile items and belongings that you plan on using in the next day or so.
• If you are moving into an apartment building, figure out whether it is required to reserve the elevator and if there are any banned days for moving.
