• Before you start to pack possessions up, be sure to create copies of important documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a safe place.
• It is good to pack your valuable items separate from other furniture. This way you will be able to keep track of them.
• You will need to have a forwarding address for your mail so that your bills and other pieces of mail go to your new apartment. You can do this on the USPS website.
