Moving Tips

• While it is not required by law in some states, be sure to do an in-person walk through with your landlord before moving out. This way you can address any issues on the spot.
• If you are moving into an apartment building, figure out whether it is required to reserve the elevator and whether there are any restricted days for moving.
• Before starting to pack furniture up, be sure to create copies of documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a safe place.
