• Take inventory of all of your valuable items with any serial numbers also.
• While packing you should keep important items separate from everything else. Make sure to keep these in your car or somewhere accessible so that you do not need to stress out during your move.
• Before starting to pack belongings up, be sure to create copies of documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a safe place.
