• Before beginning to pack possessions up, make sure to create copies of crucial documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a safe place.
• If you are going to use a security system, or already have one installed in the house then set it up the day of the move.
• You will need to set up a forwarding address for your mail so that your bills and other pieces of mail go to your new house. You can do this on the USPS website.
