• If you are moving into an apartment, find out whether it is required to reserve the elevator and whether there are any blackout days for moving.
• You will need to have a forwarding address for your mail so that your letters go to your new house. You can do this on the USPS website.
• Before you begin to pack items up, be sure to create copies of important documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a safe place.
