• Regardless of what a mover tells you, it is federal law for them to withhold your furniture.
• If you are going to use a security system, or already have one installed in the house then set it up the day of the move.
• Before beginning to pack furniture up, make sure to create copies of vital documents like birth certificates and tax returns and keep them in a safe place.
