• Take photographs of all of your valuable possessions with any serial numbers as well.
• Before you begin to pack possessions up, make sure to create copies of important documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a safe place.
• While this may seem like just another thing that’s added to your plate, make copies of all of the keys before you move. In all of the chaos of the move it would be easy to misplace a key, and that is the last thing you want to deal with on your moving day.
