Moving Tips

• While it is not necessary by law in some states, make sure to do an in person walk-through with your landlord before moving out. This way you can address any issues on the spot.
• Regardless of what a moving company tells you, it is the law for them to withhold your furniture.
• If you are moving into an apartment building, find out whether it is necessary to reserve an elevator and whether there are any restricted days for moving.
