• Before starting to pack possessions up, make sure to make copies of crucial documents like tax returns and birth certificates and keep them in a safe place.
• While it is not required by law in some states, make sure to do an in person walk through with your landlord prior to moving out. This way you can address any issues on the spot.
• If you aren't going to bring any of your furniture with you then try to donate them.
